Dr.Hanan "VRider" Gazit - Bio

Dr. Hanan "VRider" Gazit serves as the Israeli DiGRA Chapter promoting the DIGRA's vision and the use of virtual worlds and digital games for instruction, learning & business in all sectors. He founded and manages the the new DiGRA ISRAEL Website and DiGRA ISRAEL group.
Dr. Gazit serves on the Association of Virtual Worlds` Advisory Board and on the Editorial Review Board of the International Journal of Gaming and Computer-Mediated Simulations (IJGCMS).

A researcher and lecturer at H.I.T – Holon Institute of Technology, Israel. An entrepreneur, owner of a start-up company specializing in delivering services for Israeli investors, companies and organizations interested in using virtual worlds and video games for business, marketing, instruction and training.
Dr. Gazit holds a Ph.D. degree in the Learning Sciences and a Magna Cum Laude M.A. degree in Science Education, both from Tel-Aviv University. A former post doctorate fellow researcher at LIRT Lab., Institute for Interdisciplinary Applications of Computer Science. Prior to his academic career, Dr. Gazit served in the I.D.F as an instructional design expert.
